A scooter rider caught pedestrians by surprise when he rode his scooter on the pedestrian pavement in Orchard Road last Friday at lunchtime.
He entered the pavement just outside Robinsons and rode towards Apple Store. He calmly parked his scooter on the pavement near some shrubs, and went into the Apple Store, presumably to run some errands.
A while later, he went back to his parked scooter and rode to the traffic light junction of Paragon and Takashimaya.
He calmly rode his scooter back onto the road when the traffic light is in favour of pedestrians.
He appeared to be caucasian, wearing a polo tee of one of the largest tech company in the world.
His action is a danger to other pedestrians who most likely do not expect a scooter / motorcycle to be moving on a pedestrian pavement in Orchard Road.
