A car hit a manhole cover in the left lane, causing it to come to a halt.
The incident occurred on 10 May at 11.24pm, in the same location as the incident on May 12 at Jurong West Ave 2.
In the video uploaded to the SG Road Vigilante (SGRV) Youtube, a car can be seen driving down a straight road before coming to a complete stop after colliding with a manhole cover.
Furthermore, the impact was significant enough to activate the car’s airbags.
Similarly, on May 12, a car driving behind a garbage truck hit a manhole cover, resulting in a similar outcome
The manhole cover has been identified as m1 manhole cover and motorists should be aware of this road hazard.
Despite the Toyota Sienta driver’s assurances from the traffic police who cordoned off the area that the manhole would be fixed and cleared up, the manhole caused another accident two days later.
