This is a 3-hour course conducted by Mr Rex Tan, Certified Coach at Yamaha Champions Riding School.
The foundational module is designed to introduce riders to the fundamentals of track riding in a structured and controlled environment. It serves as a preparatory step for riders who are new to circuit riding, or who wish to gain familiarity and confidence before participating in a full track day. The format is classroom-based theory combined with guided practical exercises. The session will be conducted 1-2 weeks prior to track day. It is not compulsory for attendees to attend track day after attending this session.
By the end of this theory module, participants will be able to:
  • Demonstrate correct basic body positioning for cornering
  • Identify and apply fundamental racing line principles
  • Prepare themselves and their equipment appropriately for track riding
  • Ride with improved control, focus, and situational awareness
  • Learn high speed riding techniques applicable for normal road riding
