Description: This pangolin was trying to cross the road in Jurong. The video-submitter’s husband quickly stopped it by blocking it’s path, and with the help of another passerby secured the pangolin and waited for Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS). AVS is now looking after the animal and has said it will perform all the necessary vet checkups and release it back into the wild. Pangolins are critically endangered creatures due to poaching, it’s scales are made of keratin and used illegally in traditional medicines. However, the scales have never been proved to be of any use in any human medical conditions.
