Rider collapsed on his motorbike; good samaritan takes care of him and helps to deliver his order

On June 4, Facebook user Kelvin Tay shared his encounter with a food delivery rider on the road in Sengkang.

Rider collapsed on his motorbike

Tay was driving home when he noticed the rider who looked like he collapsed on his motorcycle on the road.

He then exited his car to check if the rider was alright and found out that he seemed “very pale” and felt that his body was cold.

The rider could only muster the strength to say that his stomach was in pain.

After aiding the rider to pick his motorcycle up, Tay advised the rider to go home and rest.

Tay offered to deliver on his behalf

However, the rider insisted on sending his last order before heading home.

To make sure he was safe, Tay decided to escort the rider home and offered to send the final food order for him.

Thankfully, the unwell rider accepted his offer.

Tay’s message is simple – Singaporeans should have more empathy for food delivery riders.

“Times like these are not easy. Sometimes if they are slightly late, it’s definitely not intentional. I hope Singaporeans will have more empathy towards them, especially times like now when delivery is on the rise. Coming from delivery background myself, I know and understand how tough it can be. But always remember… Health comes first.”

Tay’s post has since garnered 3900 shares.

A commenter, Ashton Goh, claims to be the rider and thanked Tay for his help.
