Violent chain collision because of lack of safety distance between cars and driver’s inattention towards the front.
The three-second rule is a rule of thumb by which a driver may maintain a safe trailing distance at any speed. The rule is that a driver should ideally stay at least three seconds behind any vehicle that is directly in front of his or her vehicle.
This happened along PIE at the Bedok Reservoir Flyover on the 03/01/2020 at 8.37am.
