Homegrown ride-hailing platform TADA has been recognised at the ROADS Awards 2025 for its outstanding commitment to driver and passenger safety.
The company received the Road Safety Champion (Company) – Innovation in Safety Initiatives award, acknowledging its innovative use of technology and education to foster a safer commuting environment across Singapore.
Championing Safer Rides Through Innovation

TADA’s win celebrates a series of safety-first innovations integrated into its platform , with initiatives that not only protect riders and drivers but also shape a culture of responsibility on the road.
Among the most impactful is the in-app seatbelt reminder, a feature that delivers a gentle prompt to riders at the start of every trip.
This smart solution eases the burden on drivers to enforce seatbelt compliance and enhances passenger safety.
Since its rollout, about 60% of drivers surveyed have said the reminder helps reduce the need for awkward conversations with riders, while 85% agree that it encourages a safer ride environment overall.
Complementing this is TADA’s driver fatigue push notification feature, which automatically reminds drivers to take breaks after extended periods on the road.
The initiative has been commended by the Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC), reflecting growing recognition of TADA’s efforts to champion driver well-being and prevent fatigue-related incidents.

Education That Empowers
Beyond technology, TADA has also focused on education and engagement.
The company’s in-app News and Notices section, first launched as a one-week pilot, has evolved into a permanent hub offering regular safety tips and best practices.
This effort has seen a 13% increase in the consumption of safety-related content, signalling that drivers value access to practical information that supports their safety and professional growth.
By combining real-time updates with driver education, TADA ensures that safety remains an ongoing conversation, not just a compliance checkbox.
“Safety Comes First in Everything We Do”

In a video message shared during the awards, TADA expressed how their safety initiatives stem from a genuine desire to make both driver and rider experiences safer, smoother, and more comfortable.
“At TADA, safety comes first in everything,” shared the team.
“The reason we started our seatbelt initiative was because some drivers found it awkward to remind riders to buckle up. A simple feature like this can make a big impact, not just reducing awkwardness, but also educating riders that seatbelt use is required by law. Since introducing this, we’ve seen more riders automatically buckling up when they start their trips.”
The team also highlighted how fatigue prevention and continuous education play key roles in keeping both drivers and riders safe.
“For drivers on the road for long hours, push notifications remind them to take breaks, because their health is important too. When drivers are well-rested, the risk of accidents drops, and everyone benefits.”
At the end of the day, what really matters is that both the drivers and riders come home safely to their loved ones.
Driving a Culture of Care
Through these innovations, TADA addresses three critical aspects of road safety: seatbelt awareness, fatigue prevention, and continuous learning.
Each initiative has been carefully designed to reduce risk, promote mindful driving, and enhance the overall experience for both riders and drivers.
More importantly, they reflect a people-first philosophy, one that prioritises empathy, safety, and responsibility across every journey.
