Twelve days. 1,300 km. One of the highest road networks on Earth. Ride Beyond Borders is a six-part series following adventure riders Jason and Gene through the Himalayas, and into some of the most important conversations in men’s health.
Jason has ridden through the Alps, the Mongolian desert, Georgia and New Zealand, but the Himalayas have always been on his bucket list. This year, he and Gene take on the rugged Himalayan 400s with Highland Explorers, from Leh through Padum and Kargil, then on to Tsokar, Hanle and Pangong.
The ride is only half of the story. Along the way, they sit down with oncology doctors to talk about three common cancers that do not receive enough attention: prostate, kidney and liver. These cancers are often silent in the early stages, which is why it is important to talk about them early and often. Knowing the signs can change everything.
Whether it is a Himalayan pass or a health scare, the unknown is easier to face when you are informed and prepared.
