Observers have said that given current COE rates, the Model 3 Standard Range is likely to be cheaper than a Toyota Camry. Higher-end cars such as Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and some Japanese brands may be hit hard by this.

Taxi companies in Singapore such as Trans-cab and Premier have also said they may consider buying Tesla models for their fleets.
