Accident happened at Jurong West Street 24 on 16/6/20
Motorcyclist was pinned under a Transcab taxi SHC5866A. Taxi driver tried using his car jack to lift car up to pull the injured out from under the taxi but failed.
SCDF arrived and used lifting equipment to pull man out while an ambulance was on standby. We wish the motorcyclist a full recovery.
According to STOMP,
An SCDF spokesman told Stomp that it was alerted to a road traffic accident at around 8.05pm and found a person “trapped near the front wheel of a vehicle”.
“SCDF rescued the trapped person using hydraulic rescue tools,” added the spokesman.
The motorcyclist was conscious when taken to National University Hospital.
Police are investigating the incident.
A Trans-Cab spokesman said it will be assisting the police with its investigations.
