The Mitsubishi Lancer driver who last year in April 2019 ploughed into a crowd of pedestrians in the CBD, was sentenced on 21 Sep 2020 to 15 weeks jail and banned from driving for 4 years. The driver, Lim Wei Sheng, was attempting to overtake another car by speeding up to twice the speed limit (approx 102km/h) and lost control of his vehicle while avoiding other cars. The accident trapped two people under his car while it also ran over a third victim’s leg.
